NRL FCU has adopted the most secure access technology available for Online Access to protect your financial records while you use home banking. We recently completed a rigorous testing and intrusion examination by the TruSecure Corporation to protect your financial data from any intruder or hacker on the Internet. On May 29, 1998 we turned on the requirement for each Online Access user to use a fully secured, strongly-encrypted browser in order to use the home banking site via the Internet. This was done under the direction of the board of directors and in compliance with our published disclosures and privacy policy.

We can assist you in reviewing the version of Internet browser you are using and the type of encryption that the browser contains if you don“t already know that information. Click here to test your browsers SSL now.

Here are the instructions on how to obtain a 128-bit encrypted browser (strong encryption or domestic grade encryption).

Below are two icons that permit you to select which Internet browser you wish to use. Click on either the "NETSCAPE" or "MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER" icons. (These browsers are FREE)

  • Choose Free Browsers
  • Choose Navigator 4 (standalone) or Archived version (The choice of which version you want is YOURS)
  • Follow the instructions supplied by Netscape
  • Choose Download Free
  • Choose Get MS IE any version
  • Choose Extra security 128 bit browser
  • Choose Download
  • Follow the instructions supplied by Microsoft
Each of these home pages (Netscape and Microsoft) have assistance available on how to get free software, how to install, frequently asked questions, and customer or technical support. It is your responsibility to obtain, download, install and configure your browser on your personal system. NRL FCU is not able to offer you technical assistance in these areas. Contact either Netscape or Microsoft or your personal computer vendor to assist in resolving software and hardware problems.
